Kid's Choice

OwnershipCuriosityCommunity

Every so often we hand the wheel to the kids. They nominate, they make their case, we vote, and the group reads whatever wins. It might be a wildcard. That’s fine — that’s the idea.

Why we do this

The long game was never about us assigning great books forever. It’s about kids who reach for bigger stories on their own. Giving them a real turn to choose — and to convince everyone else — is how that muscle gets built.

How it works

  • Any kid can nominate a book and say why it deserves a month.
  • We take the nominations to the group and vote.
  • Whatever wins, we read together like any other month.

Parents: this is a good window into what your kid is actually drawn to. Sometimes the pick surprises you. Let it.
